Position: General Manager

Full Time - 40 Hrs / Week

Accountable To: Board of Directors

Sun Prairie Village County Water and Sewer District seeks to fill the position of General Manager for the District. The position requires the general manager to perform complex supervisory, administrative, and professional work in planning works projects and programs. Also performs a variety of skilled, technical and maintenance tasks in the operation, repair, and replacement of the district’s water and sewer systems as needed. Works under the guidance and direction of the Board of Directors working directly with the President of the Board of Directors and the Secretary to the Board of Directors. Exercises direct supervision over the clerical, administrative, and maintenance personnel as well as equipment operations and professional staff as assigned. The position requires a State of Montana Operator Certification of Water Treatment - 3, Water Distribution - 3 and Wastewater (WWN) - 3; or the ability to obtain such certification within six months of employment. The applicant shall, preferably, have a four-year college or university degree in civil engineering, public administration or a closely related field and previous public works experience to include at least two years in water and sewer utilities; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicant must be bondable and have or able to obtain a Montana Driver’s License. Salary negotiable DOE. District offers a Simple Employee Retirement Plan and a medical Cafeteria plan.
